What we collect
Migo processes financial transaction data on behalf of accounting firms and their small business clients. We collect only what is necessary to provide bookkeeping services.
Contact information: Business name, owner name, email, WhatsApp number — collected during onboarding.
Transaction metadata: Date, amount, description, category — synced from QuickBooks via OAuth. We store metadata only, not raw financial documents.
WhatsApp messages: Message content sent to Migo via WhatsApp for bookkeeping queries and responses.
What we do NOT store
Migo is designed with a strict no-financial-storage policy. We never store:
Bank account numbers, routing numbers, or credit card details
Raw invoices, receipts, or financial documents
QuickBooks login credentials (we use read-only OAuth)
Payroll data, tax returns, or legal documents
How we use your data
Sync and categorize transactions from QuickBooks Online via OAuth 2.0
Run AI-powered anomaly detection to flag unusual transactions
Generate monthly reconciliation proposals for accountant review
Send automated financial summaries to clients via WhatsApp
Alert accountants to anomalies and pending approvals
Data security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). QuickBooks connections use OAuth 2.0 with read-only scopes. Data is never sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used to train AI models outside of our service.
Data retention
Transaction metadata is retained for 24 months after account closure. Proposals and WhatsApp conversations are retained for 12 months. Accounting firms can request immediate deletion at any time by emailing hello@migo.polsia.app.
Your rights
Under applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at hello@migo.polsia.app. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
